I bought this from Amazon to replace a defective card reader purchased from another on-line vendor. I held my breath when I downloaded the images from the card, but it worked flawlessly. Like cars, electronics are expected to work the first time and all the time.

This reader is quite fast and works like a charm in combination with UDMA CF cards (16GB and 32 GB) used in my my Canon EOS 7D and my PC. My PC (Windows 7 64-bit) recognized the device instantly when I connected it (USB 2.0 - no external power) and I have had no problems at all reading or writing (for camera firmware upgrade). The packaging was a little cheesy, but I didn't buy it for the packaging. The reader does its job and does it well for a fraction of the price of comparable (?) devices. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this reader.

This card reader is very fast. I have a high megapixel camera and it downloads all the files from a 16gb card in no time.
