This device did not work in my computer. The SD was not recognized. I'm running Windows XP Pro
Ruined two chips, reformats to code in computer REad all the bad reviews before you buy September 1, 2010

This chip worked 4 times. I was using a 16gb scandisk SD card.
On the 5th time, using the USB extension it opened to a folder on the desktop which was all in code.
Then it flashed the message that it was removed improperly which could cause problems etc.. except I had not removed it.
I ejected it and put it in without the usb extension and it said memory card could not be read.
I put the chip back in my camera and it said the same thing and would not allow me to reformat it.
It made the card unreadable to any reader OR my camera and I lost all photos and cannot reformat the card, which is basically now lost.
I put a new 2gb chip in my camera, took some photos. It downloaded them twice.
The third time it did the same thing as above, ruined another chip.
Two unusable chips later, I have thrown this out and will buy a more expensive reader with five stars.

Used so far only to read/write SD card. Works just fine so far. No complaints. Take care of it & it should take care of you. Gave it four stars only because I just got it & it hasn't stood the test of time, & because I didn't rate speed (It was plenty fast for me, but then it doesn't matter much for what I used it for. Can't beat it for the price!

This was just what I needed. I lost the usb cable for my digital camera to download photos. This card reader fills that spot. I am glad I have it!

I HAVE HAD THIS READER FOR JUST OVER 6 MONTHS. IT NO LONGER WORKS. IT WAS ALWAYS LOOSE IN THE HOUSING, BUT CONTINUED TO WORK UNTIL TODAY. IF I WERE YOU, I WOULDN'T BUY THE ZEIKOS.
