When I first saw the title of this Magazine I thought, "Finally! a magazine for me that talks about the business of STUDIO photography!" This was by far the most expensive photographic magazine subscription I ever tried, but it would be worth it since it was going to talk about what I was interested in (indoor studio photography)... or so I thought.

It turns out that this magazine was extremely thin, and made up mostly of advertisements. This was a huge surprise to me considering they only have 6 issues a year. The few product articles they had were in reality just more advertisements as to why you should buy such and such lighting equipment/printer/scanner/etc.

The writing is terrible. I found typos in several articles. This magazine is neither a how-to-shoot magazine or a how-to-do-business magazine in my opinion. I'd consider it a magazine that talks about photography in general but without teaching any useful information.

This magazine does have one good thing going for it... a catchy title. Now if only it were a magazine about studio photography, then it might be worth something.

If you want a how-to magazine, check out Photo Techniques or Popular Photography & Imaging.

If you want a business of photography magazine, check out Professional Photographer

Avoid this subscription at all costs!
